The Alan Turing School is an ambitious and lively neighbourhood school where all Amsterdammers are welcome. Our students are residents of a small but progressive metropolis with people from all over. So it stands to reason that we educate our pupils to become worldly-wise, collaborative global citizens.
Our school is named after the British mathematician and code cracker Alan Turing. Turing was a broadly educated, highly original thinker. But he was also creative, sporty and a whiz at working together. The versatility of Turing is reflected in our curriculum.
The Alan Turing School allows each and every child to achieve their full potential, whether they find learning easy or whether they need extra support. We offer a stimulating environment to encourage them to rise above themselves and expand their boundaries.
But above all, we offer children a safe place where they can be who they are and feel at home. Where they are not afraid to make mistakes, but also dare to excel. Where their interests are taken seriously and where they can move and play. In short, a place where they enjoy going to every day.
